Objective

This fund’s objective is to provide high income and long-term growth of capital through diversified investments in high yielding equity securities, preferred shares, and convertible debentures of Canadian companies, real estate investment trusts and royalty trusts. It may also own money market instruments and fixed income investments issued by Canadian or foreign corporations and by governments in Canada (federal, provincial or territorial).

Strategy

Galileo’s managers invest this fund using their proven bottom-up management process. Securities are selected based on long-term growth potential, with capital growth and capital preservation as key goals. When selecting fixed income instruments, the managers may invest in corporate bonds that have a low credit rating or are unrated but offer a higher yield than investment-grade bonds.
